You can't upload a quote yet. Where this statement describes the check, it describes how we will handle your data once the check works.
Server logs
Like every website, our server records some technical data for each visit, such as your IP address, the page you asked for and the time. We use this to keep the site running and secure, and to count visits per page in total, without building profiles of individual visitors. The log has a fixed maximum size, and old entries are overwritten automatically. We don't share it.
Your quote
Once the check works, we will take the details we need from your quote: price, capacity, power and the promised savings. Before anything goes to a language model (AI), we will black out your name, address, phone number, email address, bank account number and signature. We will delete the file itself as soon as the details have been read, and only keep the figures, without a name or address.
Your postcode
When the check asks for your postcode, we will only keep the 4 digits, not the letters. That is enough to find subsidies in your area.
Meter data
When you add a file with your meter readings, we read it in memory and never save the file. The hourly values are used for the calculation and then discarded. We keep only totals, such as your yearly usage and the period the file covers, together with your result. They are deleted with it.
The link to your result
Once the check works, your result will get a link nobody can guess. The link will work for 90 days, after which we delete it. Every result will have a button to delete it sooner. The link will only hold the figures you entered, no personal data.
Language model (AI)
The check will use a language model to read your quote and to write the result in plain language. It will not calculate the figures; our own calculation module does that. We will choose a provider with servers in the EU, or one that stores nothing (zero retention), and we will sign a data processing agreement with that provider before the check goes live.
Right now we don't ask for your email address. If we later offer email updates, for example when your result has been updated, we will only store your address if you ask for it, and you will be able to have it deleted with one click.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask which data we hold about you and have it deleted. Because we store no names or addresses, there is usually nothing to link to you. A contact address will follow before launch. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
